Privacy policy The Japan Rugby Football Union (hereafter, the Union) takes the utmost care when dealing with personal information gathered from users of its website, adhering strictly to relevant and applicable laws.
  1. Agreement to use personal information When it is necessary to gather personal information from users of its website, the Union will request consent to utilize said information after explaining how the information is to be employed. 2. Scope of use of personal information The Union will not utilize users’ personal information other than for the purposes originally stated in the initial agreement. 3. Offering or communicating users’ personal information to third parties The Union may only disclose users’ personal information in the following circumstances: • When permission has been received from the user to disclose/share personal information. However, even in cases where the Union discloses personal information to, or deposits/shares personal information with, a third party, the utmost effort will be made to protect this information by forging an agreement on the same with the third party. • When formally requested to do so by public authorities acting under the law, such as the police or courts. • When a user breaks the terms of the conditions of use and it is deemed necessary for the Union to do so to protect itself from user acts that threaten or damage the rights, prestige, property or services of the Union. • When a person’s life, physical well-being or property etc. are under imminent threat, and emergency measures are necessary. 4. Deletion of users’ personal information If a user’s personal information has fulfilled its original purpose, the Union may choose to delete said information in cases where retention is no longer deemed necessary. 5. Responding to users’ requests regarding personal information The Union will respond, as necessary and within reason, to requests from JRFU website users regarding changes to or deletion of personal information relating to the user held by the Union.
